This afternoon, a Boeing 737 plane belonging to China Eastern Airlines crashed in Tung County, Wuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.

 

There were 132 people on board, including the crew.

The plane was scheduled to leave Kunming Changshui Airport in Yunnan Province, China at 1:15 p.m. local time, and arrive at Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province at 3 p.m.

 

However, at around 2:20, he suddenly lost contact and disappeared, and Chinese media quoted a flight tracking site as saying that the speed of the plane suddenly dropped and plunged.

 

As a result of the crash, wildfires also broke out at the scene.

 

Immediately after the accident, paramedics and firefighters were dispatched to the scene, but no exact casualties have been reported yet.

 

The Korean Consulate General in Guangzhou is checking whether Koreans are on board the plane.

 

The plane was acquired by Eastern Airlines from Boeing in 2015 and has been operating for six years and eight months.
